Chenzhou Tourism Revenue Exceeds 19 Billion Last Year

It was learned from Chenzhou briefing of annual assessment of Hunan tourism industry development that Chenzhou city received 28.196 million tourists in 2013 with an increase of 26.83%. The total tourism income hit 19.409 billion yuan, up 30.91%.

 

Chenzhou city’s tourism industry upgraded greatly in 2013. It focused on the development of“China’s city of spring” and leisure tourism product. Furthermore, 2013 China (Chenzhou) “city in the forest, leisure city”international festival, 2013 first “Dongjiang lake” international folk song festival, sixth Rally Championship of south China, and some other activities were held in Chenzhou city. Along with the promotion of activities, tourism concerned for self-driving, mining park, hot spring, farming, ecology, high-speed railway, etc. were improved rapidly.

 

At the meantime, Chenzhou city achieved excellent results on the creation of tourism brands. Dongjianghu lake landscape was evaluated as the first batch of “national ecological tourism landscape” and was with substantial improvement on establishment of 5A landscape; Guiyang county successfully established as national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism; Xiaobu Nanling Ecological City established as national demonstration spot of national demonstration county of leisure agriculture and rural tourism; and Jiulongjiang National Forest Park and Hunan Baoshan National Mine Park were evaluated as national 4A landscape. Till now, 10 4A level landscapes are available in Chenzhou city.
