2017-05-21

In 2015, Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Museum was showed and attracted so many visitors. On the occasion of the 5th CMGS approaching, the reporter came here to visit once again.

The underground museum is still in style

On the afternoon of May 14, people were sweating as the sun heat down upon themselves. But in the Chenzhou Nonferrous Metals Museum here, people felt a little comfortable. Walking down the stone steps in the corner of the pool, the city's first underground museum was present. The strange shape of strange rocks and the running water spring out of the strange rocks let the museum be twice as mysterious.

Into the museum, the first exhibition area is the lobby to convey the origin and the basic concept of non-ferrous metals. The diamond-shaped reflective wall, the pyramid of the multimedia, as well as the ore shape suspending over the roof couple with the shock background music, to present the big bang to the audience. The formation process of non-ferrous metal gives a strong audio-visual impact.

The museum is divided into six types of exhibition areas, including the Lobby, Chenzhou Museum, Silver Hall, Bismuth Hall, Tungsten Hall and Comprehensive Museum and uses the pictures, text, model, film and television, etc. to show the types, characteristics and smelting process of the world's nonferrous metals. These lifelike statues and specimens not only tell and restore the story of non-ferrous metals, but also let the visitors here deeply feel the magic of the geological world.

The "brass wall & iron pillars" add color.

Unlike previous years, the "brass wall & iron pillars" created by Chenzhou World Nonferrous Metal Museum will make the museum more colored this year. Into the museum's central hall, the walls around the hall all have been plated with brass, and the bronze heads and related stories of 52 scientists have been engraved on it. According to the museum staff introduced, the brass wall is a total length of 238 meters, a total area of 820 square meters, and a total of more than 18.3 tons of brass. At the same time, the words have been artificially carved on the basis of machine engraving, to make the words on the brass wall even more popular. And the 16 stone pillars are 0.92 meters long, 0.92 meters wide and 5 meters high. And now, the stone pillars have been coated with a layer of brown iron powder and the stone pillars have changed to the iron pillars, full of iron "taste".

The brass wall, iron pillars, the gurgling water and the croaking of frogs of the central hall make the audience inadvertently feel the unique charm of Chenzhou.
