Zixing People Fought Against Japanese Army in 1945

Preventing Japanese army from invading Zixing urban area

In the early February, 1945, Japanese army invaded to Xixiang and Beixiang of Zixing city and committed to all manners of crimes. The Japanese outrages evoked the indignation of soldiers of Nationalist Party and Zixing people. They fought against the enemy and badly attacked them.

 

The Japanese army which intended to invade Zixing city from Mugen bridge was blocked by the 99th troop of Nationalist Party. They fought with the Japanese for a whole day in Luowei ferry and Waijia’ao from February 6-7, 1945. Tens of the Japanese enemies were killed by them. The Japanese was forced to give up the attempt to invade Zixing city from Waijia’ao. 

 

Zixing people fought against Japanese

In early February 1945, the Japanese army established a fortified point in Yangjiaochong of Liaoshi. A farmer with the surname of Cao and his son killed two Japanese who guided the goods on grain yard when some other Japanese were robbing the village.

 

In middle February, when Li Zhiren who was a farmer of Zhongtian village visited his family, he was captured by the Japanese and was forced to join in vigilante group. Li pulled the Japanese commander to the river and escaped from the enemy with the help of local villagers.

 

In a night of middle June, Xie Sentian who was a villager of Liaoshi led tens of his students who practiced Wushu to attack a defensive tower of Japanese army and killed a team of the enemy. Xie killed a Japanese who was robbing the goods and raping Chinese women in the village. Because there was something wrong with Xie Sentian’s foot, the Japanese army placed the order to capture the “cripple”, but they failed.


Cleared Japanese strongholds

In early August 1945, Huang Zhuoyu who was the Assistant Regiment Commander of temporary 2nd troop of Nationalist Party ( one of the villagers of Tianxin village) led a team to attack the Japanese strongholds with the help of local people. From August 8-18, Huang Zhuiyu and his team cleared tens of strongholds set in Zixing city, killed tens of Japanese soldiers, captured one, and bottled up the rest Japanese in their base cape of Chenhoushan, Liaoshi.

 

Huang Zhuoyu swear to all the soldiers and masses : “if not take down Chenhoushan, I will carry a head to see Commander Shen (the Army Commander of temporary 2nd troop who stationed in the county). ” All people were greatly mobilized by his saying and bottled up the Japanese base for days. All breakouts handled out by the Japanese were defeated by Chinese army. But due to the adjustment of armed forces, all the enemies who invaded Zixing city escaped on August 21, 1945.
