The 8th China (Hunan) International Mineral & Gem Expo was held by COVID-19 because it was really different. The most obvious thing was that the "CMGE Cloud" service integrated platform was officially launched, and the exhibition activities were integrated online and offline. "The museum as like as two peas in the virtual pavilion. Not to mention the mineral gems themselves, even the lighting and carpet patterns are exactly the same as those on the scene. Similarly, Gene Meieran, a senior academician of Intel Corporation of the United States, congratulated "CMGE Cloud" on its official launch through video. "I send you my sincere greetings from Portland, Oregon. Because of COVID-19, I can't travel this year." He said, "I am very grateful to the Chenzhou Mining Expo team for letting the mineral collectors still see the pleasing mineral specimens through auction and online trading in this special period."

 

Such scenes also took place in the Mining History and Cultural Tourism Industry Forum, and the Mineral Crystal and Earth Science Popularization Forum. Chen Jianli, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Archaeology, Culture and Museum of Peking University, Balatseng, Minister of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in China, and Jennifer, from the Geological Museum of Canada, all participated in the exchange and discussion in the form of video. They respectively took "the value research of Chenzhou Mining and Metallurgy Cultural Heritage", "the mineral resources and characteristic mineral crystals of South Africa" and "the Geological Museum of Canada and the popularization of public science" as the themes, share research results, exchange research experience, tell scientific research stories, count the mining and utilization status of mineral gems.

 

 Among them, Balatseng introduced in detail South Africa's mineral and gem resources, mining situation and relevant policies in the video, and sincerely invited Chinese enterprises to invest in South Africa.

 

Coincidentally, Brazilian ambassador to China Paul Valle also introduced the storage, import and export of Brazil's mineral gems in his speech, and introduced the relevant laws and regulations and the 2020-2023 mining development plan in detail. "Brazil's efforts to expand and modernize its mining industry have brought huge opportunities for foreign investors. I hope Chinese partners will see and seize these opportunities." In his speech, he sincerely expressed that the future is promising.
