Yongxing County, hometown of General Huang Kecheng, is located on the north border of Chenzhou City, southeast Hunan Province. With a population of 638,500, Yongxing County has the second largest population in Chenzhou City and administers 8 towns and 17 townships.
The county stretches along a narrow land of 1,979.4 square kilometers, accounting for 0.93% of the total area of Hunan Province. With
plains scattered among the hills in the middle, Yongxing County is mountainous in the east and hilly in the west. Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway, G107 and S212 National Highways run through the county and the Bianjiang River in the upper reaches of Leishui River is open to navigation all the year round.
