In order to further improve the collection, utilization and protection of wild tea resources with local characteristics, recently, tea researchers from the Municipal Institute of Agricultural Sciences rushed to Wugai Mountain in Suxian District to explore the trace of wild tea resources in the field woodland.

Collection of rice tea resources

Wugai Mountain is widely distributed with wild tea trees with majestic mountain, green forest and fertile soil. The winter is not cold and the summer is not hot. It is the high-quality tea production place. The "Rice Tea" produced in Wugai Mountain was listed as a tribute in the Ming Dynasty. The shape of tea is tight and dense, and the grain size of rice. A tube of tea is as heavy as a tube of rice. On that day, tea researchers did not care about the early morning clouds and dense humidity. With one foot of water and one foot of mud, their footprints spread over most of the mountainous areas, bringing back precious "Rice Tea" germplasm resources.
