On February 9, Xihe Rural Revitalization Demonstration Belt construction scheduling meeting was held in our city.

Xihe River originates from Qitianling mountain range of Yangtian Lake in Beihu District, passes through Guiyang, Beihu, Suxian and Yongxing districts and counties, and joins Leishui at Xihekou village, Tangmenkou Town, Yongxing County, with a total length of 144 km. There are 54 villages along the line, with a population of about 1 million. The region is endowed with good natural resources, profound historical and cultural heritage, relatively perfect infrastructure, and initially formed characteristic industries. In order to fully implement the Rural Revitalization Strategy, the region has fully exploited and utilized the rural tourism cultural resources along the Xihe River, and accelerated the integration of culture, tourism and agriculture tourism. The municipal Party committee and municipal government decided to carry out the rural revitalization pilot along the Xihe River, and strive to build it into a national well-known rural revitalization demonstration belt.

Vice Mayor Chen Rongwei presided over the meeting and delivered a speech. He stressed that according to the development requirements of "overall planning, combination of points and lines, one village with one special feature, demonstration and leading", we should revitalize the existing resources, form the "Xihe model" of rural revitalization in the aspects of industrial revitalization, talent revitalization, cultural revitalization, ecological revitalization, and organizational revitalization, and promote the rural revitalization along the Xihe River. The relevant departments should combine the characteristics of nine rural revitalization demonstration villages along the Xihe River, such as Wushan, Wazao and Sanhe, clarify the development orientation, highlight the characteristics, refine the implementation plan as soon as possible, put forward practical plans, and build rural revitalization demonstration villages as soon as possible. At the same time, relevant departments should give financial support, strengthen publicity and planning, and strive to build the rural revitalization demonstration belt along the Xihe River into a well-known, influential and exemplary rural revitalization demonstration belt in China.
