In order to commemorate the 29th "World Water Day" and the 34th "China Water Week", on March 22, our city held a commemorative activity with the theme of "building green water conservancy, serving rural revitalization" and a voluntary service activity of "patrolling lakes, protecting canals, conserving water and protecting grain" in Qingshanlong irrigation area.

The event aims to make all walks of life and the masses of the society understand the basic water situation of Chenzhou more comprehensively, give full play to the basic guarantee role of rural water conservancy in rural revitalization, and promote the formation of a good fashion of caring for water, close to water, caring for water and saving water. Our city's average annual water resources is about 16.44 billion cubic meters, with 1034 reservoirs, 52 irrigated areas over 10000 mu and 1240 hydropower stations. They are also the important support of Chenzhou's economic and social development and the important guarantee of sustainable development.

In recent years, with the joint efforts of all walks of life, Chenzhou water conservancy reform and development has achieved good results. A number of major water source projects, such as Mangshan Reservoir, have been built, further improving the ability of water supply and flood control and drought resistance.
