At the event site of Reshui Hot Spring Cultural Park, villagers of Gaotan She and Yao Village dressed in festive attire presented mugwort and sachets as gifts to guests. Then, colorful activities like singing folk songs, making glutinous rice cakes and dancing bamboo pole dance were carried out. 

 

 

 

A lucky draw was also arranged for visitors, with prizes like free villa rooms and admission tickets to the hot spring scenic area. 

 

The best part was that 1,000 eggs were boiled with shepherd's-purse in the hot spring water, which attracted tens of thousands of people to watch. 

 

 

 

Sanyuesan is a traditional festival of the She people. On the third day of the third lunar month every year, She people in Rucheng County gather around the natural hot springs to sing and dance, and cook eggs, peanuts and chestnuts in hot springs. The water contains over 30 kinds of trace elements like silicon, sodium, potassium, calcium and radon, with the general temperature of 91.5℃ and even up to 98℃.
