Mangshan Yanziyan Karst Cave

Recently, the Department of Culture and Tourism of Hunan Province announced the list of five-star rural tourism areas (spots) in 2019. A total of 37 units were selected, and Mangshan Yanziyan Ecological Villa in Yizhang County was listed. Mangshan Yanziyan Ecological Villa is located in Tiantang Town, with Mangshan Reservoir Scenic Area on the left and Mangshan National Forest Park on the right, covering a total area of 180 hectares, with a forest coverage rate of 96 percent. Yanziyan has beautiful scenery and unique natural conditions. It is mixed between granite and karst landforms, forming a unique natural wonder. The marvelous workmanship of nature makes the karst cave stone here lifelike and magnificent. Ancient trees and rocks exist in a staggered way. Trees grow on rocks and there are many strange scenes of holding stones in trees. There are 300 mu of peach blossom, 50 mu of rose, and tens of thousands of various flowers and trees.

It was reported that the selection is in accordance with Hunan Province "basic conditions for rural tourism area (point) operation" and "criteria for star rating of rural tourism area (point)", which has been preliminarily evaluated and recommended by relevant cities and prefectures, and inspected and evaluated by the Provincial Committee for star rating of rural tourism area (spot).
