A direct train carrying 18.52 tons of dried lilies departed from Chenzhou Land Port on the afternoon of September 20. The goods were dispatched by Hunan Baoqing Agricultural Imports & Exports Co., Ltd. in Hunan’s Shaoyang City and transported by Chenzhou Xianggang Logistics Co., Ltd.. These goods were sent to Hong Kong under the model of Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme (SELS).

 

 

 

 

The Shaoyang-Chenzhou-Hong Kong channel under this model is an innovative measure in line with the development of regional economic integration. Shaoyang’s industrial resources, Chenzhou’s transportation hub advantages and Hong Kong’s international platforms are integrated with no administrative restrictions and optimized logistics channels. This provides efficient logistics solutions for regional industrial coordinated development.

 

The traditional cross-border logistics clearance and transportation procedures are cumbersome, time-consuming and costly. The “Single E-lock Scheme” reflects the innovative achievement of intelligent customs supervision, achieves fast customs clearance and seamless integration between Hunan and Guangdong, with the time efficiency able to be improved by 40% compared to the traditional model.

 

Since its operation in March last year, a total of 245 trains were handled. And 157 trains were run in the first eight months of this year, an increase of 157% year on year.

 

In the future, the Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong SELS will show a stronger development momentum. This mode provides a solid guarantee for the sustainable and stable supply of Hunan’s fresh agricultural products to Hong Kong, opens up an efficient and convenient channel for Hunan’s import and export goods, and enables it to better integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and connect with the global market.
