Chenzhou Land Port welcomed a new product, Xuefeng honey orange in Dongkou County of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, on October 25. 7,635 kg of Xuefeng honey oranges worth 80,000 yuan delivered by Hunan Qiling Fruit Industry Company were exported to Hong Kong under the model of Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme (SELS). It’s the first time that Dongkou Xuefeng honey oranges have been exported through SELS.
After the Shaoyang-Chenzhou-Hong Kong channel under this model launched on September 20 this year, Shaoyang goods can be gathered and exported at Chenzhou Land Port. The customs of Hunan, Guangdong and Hong Kong have implemented real-time monitoring of transportation vehicles throughout the whole process by using the same electronic lock and satellite positioning equipment, enabling fast transportation and customs clearance of import and export goods within 8 hours, which greatly improves logistics efficiency.
The transportation of goods this time uses a return vehicle for imported goods from Chenzhou SELS, which improves the utilization rate of vehicles, reduces transportation costs for enterprises, and brings more profits.
It is expected that in the future, the Shaoyang-Chenzhou-Hong Kong channel under SELS will form a normalized operation mode, providing a more convenient and efficient channel for the export of Hunan products, and also laying a good foundation for Chenzhou Land Port to build a provincial-level gathering center for the SELS channel between Hunan, Guangdong and Hong Kong.
