It was released by the working conference of urban and rural construction on March 15, 2012 that 151 infrastructure projects of city central area with planning investment 10.77 billion yuan will be started within 2012. It was stated that the city should propel the construction of infrastructure and indemnificatory apartments to upgrade the city level and housing guarantee for urban and rural citizens.

On the basis of "Chenzhou City's Urban Overall Planning" and two-city strategic targets, the so-called 151 infrastructure projects include not only new city expansion projects as 54 roads construction and improvement, but also some old city upgrading projects as "city -village" transformation, water supply & drainage, public traffic, water environment, streets and alleys reconstruction etc..

Housing working still takes the most important place in the Housing Construction Department's work schedule in 2012. The department will keep on carrying out the indemnificatory apartments projects, enhancing the strength in rebuilding shanty areas, public rent housing, low-rent housing, and rural dangerous housing, etc., 20 major projects of which will be highlighted on the annual work. There are total investment of 3.24 billion and 1.63 billion yuan will be completed in 2012.
