It was reported that Tan Jianming who is the young sculptor from Anren county, Chenzhou city won the gold prize with his work “civilized ecology-literati China” in the second Wuhu International Sculpture Exhibition. It was an exclusive gold prize in this exhibition.

Over 2100 works finished by 553 artists from 35 countries and regions were shown in this exhibition. Finally, 43 remarkable works of them were awarded with different awards there. Tan Jianming won the exclusive gold medal with his work “civilized ecology-literati China” for its “unique perspective on Chinese culture and literati of China modern history, innovative spirit on the sculpture material and form, and amazing artistic architecture”.

Tan graduated from the Third Anren Middle School in 2005 and entered Tsinghua University as an art specialty. He was the first one who was able to enter Tsinghua University in this middle school. He was recommended to pursue graduate study in Tsinghua University in 2009 and was taught by Zeng Chenggang- Vice Chairman of Chine Artists Association and President of China Sculpture Academy. Tan got his post graduate degree this year and works in Tsinghua University as a teacher. It was learned that some of his sculpture works were collected by the Forbidden Palace Museum, China Sculpture Academy, Tsinghua University, etc.. Tan is a famous young sculptor with all these achievements and fame in China.
