It was learned that the State Culture Ministry will invite top 7 Kunqu opera troupes of China to perform their versions of “Peony Pavilion” in this December. Currently, Hunan Kunqu Opera Troupe invited Zhang Xunpeng and Cai Zhengren- Members of Steering Committee for Promotion of Kunqu Opera of Culture Ministry and national first rank actress of Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe to guide its performance of inheriting version of “Peony Pavilion”.
