Experts & Scholars Offer Advice to Linwu Dragon Culture

2017-08-25

Recently, the first China (Linwu) dragon culture seminar was held in Linwu County。27 senior dragon culture research experts and scholars from all over the country gathered in Linwu County to discuss the Linwu dragon culture and offer advice and suggestions for the protection, inheritance and development of the dragon culture in the county.

It was understood that Xu Xiake found the stone dragon in Linwu Shimen Dragon Palace 380 years ago, very similar to the image of the legendary dragon. The natural grotto likes the dragon palace, dragon lake inside and a vivid 13 meters long stone dragon in the dragon lake. The pearl is under the chin of the stone dragon (like two dragons snapping at a pearl) and the dragon's gas overflows through the cave, which is the "Dragon cave cloud", one of the eight ancient scenic spots in Linwu.

The 27 experts and scholars investigated in the Dragon Palace of Shimen Village and found that the dragon palace and stone dragon were consistent with the description of Xu Xiake. The experts and scholars were amazing for the natural formation dragon palace and vivid stone dragon with clear scales.

At the seminar, 27 experts and scholars expressed their views and thought that the Linwu dragon cultural has rich cultural heritage and the discovery of the Dragon Palace is very valuable. We should further increase publicity and combine with the tourism industry to make plans to protect and develop dragon culture and bring local people to prosperity. At the same time, the experts and scholars also proposed to build the Dragon Culture Museum and the Chinese dragon altar in Linwu to carry forward the Chinese dragon culture with the Lingwu stone dragon and profound folk dragon culture as the carrier according to the proposals of Pang Jin, Wang Dong, Li Yaozong and other senior experts and professors. China Dragon and Phoenix Culture Research Center, and Xi'an China Dragon and Phoenix Culture Research Institute awarded the plaque of Dragon culture research and development base to the county.
