Yangtian Lake Grassland is located at the top of a high mountain at an altitude of more than 1,300 meters. It’s the southernmost, most natural, most diverse and coolest alpine grassland in China. The grassland is surrounded by lush sub-primitive forests, with flaming red rhododendrons, lush boundary bamboos and rare snow scenery in southern China. It’s known as a natural air conditioner and a best place to avoid heat.

Beihu District is a center of politics, economy and culture in Chenzhou, with a long history of more than 2,200 years. It’s rich in tourism resources, such as the training base of Chinese women’s volleyball team which won five championships in a row, Wanhua Cave, West River Scenery Belt, Seven Sisters Stone, and Xianling Lake.

In recent years, Chenzhou has focused on developing and strengthening cultural tourism industries based on the combination of ecological protection, sustainable development and cultural tourism development.

The festival aims to drive the integrated development of culture and tourism in Beihu District, promote the great integration of rural tourism, red education and rural revitalization, and build Beihu District into an influential rural cultural tourism destination in China.
