The blood inventory of Zhangjiajie has reached the warning line due to the lockdown following the epidemic at the end of July. In order to meet the large backlog of clinical blood demand after the city was unblocked, the Zhangjiajie Central Blood Station asked the Chenzhou Central Blood Station for support on August 30.
After receiving the request, a total of 660 bags of blood products, including 380 bags of red blood cells, 130 bags of cryoprecipitate, and 150 bags of plasma were urgently prepared, and delivered to Zhangjiajie in the morning of the next day, which contributed a lot to the fight against the epidemic in Zhangjiajie.
According to statistics, a total of 5,153 people participated in blood donations from August 1 to 31 in Chenzhou, which not only fully guaranteed local clinical blood demand, but also provided blood emergency protection for the neighboring blood centers in Changsha, Zhangjiajie and other cities that have experienced the epidemic.
