It was learned that Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee investigated Guidong and Rucheng county on July 15, 2014 to check their work on poverty alleviation and rural housing. Liu stated that balance attention should be placed on industrial development and beautiful rural construction to improve local economy and upgrade the living condition of villages.

Guidong county tried great efforts on the transformation and upgrading of industry in recent years and actively implemented a strategy “promoting villages along with urban area construction” to establish some special towns especially some unique demonstration towns. Liu emphasized that Guidong county should pay great attention on the construction of demonstration belt of poverty alleviation along 106 national road. Liu also pointed out some key points on promoting the poverty alleviation work. Firstly, basic support for the poverty stricken areas should be handled out well to ensure the poverty stricken people to be facilitated with food, house and school. Secondly, more efforts should be placed on the industrial development to facilitate local people with better infrastructures to build the new rural.

Rucheng county actively seized the chance of poverty alleviation and development for Luoxiao mountainous area and achieved great results. Concerned for the regulation of rural housing, the planning for administrative villages of all 19 counties and towns has been fully finished in Rucheng county. Currently, it was busy on the promotion of the 24 demonstrations of concentrated housing. Liu Hesheng required that balance attention should be placed on industrial development and beautiful rural construction. More efforts should be paid on land transfer, manorial economy, professional cooperative, and etc. to increase the income of villagers with development of industries. Liu also pointed out that the regulation of rural housing was the important measure to work well on new rural construction. Better demonstration and guiding work should be handled out by the county to play the best main body role of farmers. The rural area would be upgraded greatly as long as the new rural construction work can be kept handling well in following years.
