Hunan Chenzhou Rally Team

2013 China Rally Championship would be held soon in Chenzhou city. Hunan Chenzhou rally team which ranked the second place of S2 group of 2012 China Rally Championship would attend 2013 championship. Yaris of Guangqi Toyata Automobile, Shanghai Volkswagen, and Deongfeng Critroen were the team autos for S2 group’s competition. It was learned that, the series numbers for the racing autos of Hunan Chenzhou rally team were 71, 73, 74, 108 and 109.

It was learned from Lei Hailin- the captain of Hunan Chenzhou rally team that five racing drivers of their team attended Chenzhou section’s competition. According to the record, Hunan Chenzhou rally team was with good achievements on China Rally Championship in earlier years, such as silver reward of S2 group in 2012, champion of A group of 2012 China short track rally championship, forth place of S2 group in 2011, etc.. In order to attend 2013 championship, a three-month preliminary preparation work has been done by the team. Lei expressed their high expectation for this championship to try their best to get the first place in some groups’ competitions.

“It was with more pressure to attend the championship in hometown.” said Lei Hailin. Lei got two champion titles in 2012 China Rally Championship. Though because of the highly concern and support of hometown people, the pressure would be higher than earlier competitions, he was still confident to this competition for he was more familiar with the climate and tracks than other race drivers.
