In August 1928, Zhu De and Chen Yi led the main forces of the Fourth Red Army back to Shatian and Pule townships in Guidong County. They carried out revolutionary activities in Dongshui Village, established the first township Party branch, Soviet Government and Workers’ and Peasants’ Armed Red Guards in Guidong County. They also carried out the mass movements to overthrow local tyrants and evil gentry, laying a solid foundation for the revolutionary movement of workers and peasants in Guidong County. 

 

The Pule activity sites, located in Dongshui Village, Pule Town, is a provincial cultural relic protection unit. The cultural relics have been in a bad state of disrepair for years. 

 

To do the preservation and restoration work well, about 3 million yuan of special funds was allocated to start the restoration project, combined with the pilot construction of a beautiful Red village. 

 

Now, the restoration work of the armory and the hospital was completed. The restoration of the military headquarters and Zhu De’s former residence will be completed by the end of this June.
