Since the 18th CPC National Congress, Chenzhou has stuck to opening up to the south and taking the initiative to integrate. It has become a major place to undertake industrial transfer from the Greater Bay Area.

 

Recently, 34 projects were signed during the 2022 Forum for Chenzhou Entrepreneurs, with a total investment of 61.076 billion yuan.

 

Most of the signed projects came from the Greater Bay Area, involving intelligent manufacturing, big data, non-ferrous metals and other industries.

 

It is understood by businesses that Chenzhou is a good place for investment and business because of its convenient transportation and facilities.

 

Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Zhuhai Expressway and other traffic arteries meet in Chenzhou. Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway, Yueyang-Linwu Expressway, Pingjiang-Rucheng Expressway and Beijing-Shenzhen High-speed Railway pass through Chenzhou. The 106 and 107 national highways run from north to south through the city, where Xiamen-Chengdu Expressway traverses from east to west.

 

Chenzhou has been expanding its opening up. It has become the key place to undertake the gradient transfer of processing trade nationwide, and has been evaluated as the Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, China (Hunan) Pilot Free Trade Zone Chenzhou Area and so on.

 

Chenzhou has also built rapid customs clearance platforms such as comprehensive bonded zone and rail-sea intermodal transport. It has become one of the most comprehensive and functional open platforms in Hunan and even in Central and Western China.

 

At present, Chenzhou has built 1 national high-tech zone, 1 model logistics park, 1 comprehensive bonded zone, 1 pilot area of free trade zone and 12 provincial industrial parks.

 

Hu Jianwen, a representative of Chenzhou entrepreneurs and chairman of Linwu Shunhua Duck Industrial Development Co., Ltd, said that Chenzhou offers increasingly favorable business environment, which is the reason why the company can provide jobs for more than 2,000 people and help to lift more than 10,000 farmers out of poverty, achieving an output value of 1.3 billion yuan last year.

 

“It just took 60 days to complete all the steps from the negotiation, agency, water and electricity access to staff recruitment,” exclaimed Wang Hong, the person in charge of Binze Medical Testing Company. “There is convenient traffic, high-level management and first-class business environment.”

 

Chenzhou was rated as one of the top 10 cities in China with favorable business environment in 2018. In addition, it ranked 81st among 296 cities nationwide according to a report on business environment jointly released by the Greater Bay Area Research Institute and the 21st Century Economic Research Institute at the end of 2020.

 

This year, Chenzhou has launched 20 rules to optimize the business environment. At the same time, it will carry out the activities to attract investment and businesses in Hunan.

 

Nowadays, such industrial parks have settled in Chenzhou as Hunan (Guangdong) Intelligent Home Appliance Industrial Park in Guiyang, Hunan-Guangdong Battery Industrial Cluster in Linwu and Hunan (Guangdong) Electronic Intelligent Technology Industrial Park in Rucheng.

 

In the past 10 years, Chenzhou has introduced more than 1,600 key projects with a total investment of over 680 billion yuan. More than 90% of these investment projects come from the Greater Bay Area.

 

At present, the city has formed 6 major industrial clusters of non-ferrous metals, graphite, mineral gems, fine chemical engineering, equipment manufacturing and electronic information.
