Wangxianling is a scenic spot in the eastern suburb of Chenzhou City. The scenic area is full of mountains and springs, rippling streams and cascading waterfalls. The forest coverage rate is over 90 percent, and there are more than 2000 kinds of plant species. The famous scenic spots include Puji Temple, Wangxian Temple, Fenggu Temple, Butterfly Valley, Valentine Spring, Mandarin Duck Pond and so on. Wang Xianling Scenic Area is one of Hunan's 100 scenic spots, Hunan's 20 best leisure scenic spots and Chenzhou's eight ancient scenic spots, which is a leisure resort in the back garden of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Xiangshan Cherry Garden (also known as Nanguo Cherry Garden) in Wangxianling Scenic Area has more than 3000 cherry blossoms. There are three kinds of cherry blossoms. The first is local cherry blossoms, nearly 1000 trees, blooming in January-February every year; the second is Yunnan cherry blossoms, nearly 1000 trees, blooming in February-March every year; the third is foreign cherry blossoms, mainly Japanese cherry blossoms, more than 1200 trees.

Every spring, when the cherry blossoms of Wangxianling Mountain are in full bloom, it seems that it has become a custom for Chenzhou people to enjoy cherry blossoms in Wangxianling Mountain.
