It was reported that Zhang Lingguang- Director of National Standardization Technical Committee of Leisure led a four-member investigation team to check Chenzhou city's establishment of "leisure city". As the team considered, Chenzhou city is with abundant tourism resources, colourful and top level leisure resources, which enables it to be an ideal place for living, travel, leisure, vacation. On this point, Chenzhou city was past the checking successfully.

In recent years, Chenzhou city focused on the improvement of leisure tourism and placed great attention on upgrading the infrastructure and public service condition of the landscapes and upgrading management mechanism and operation model, which helped to create new products and business types, expand tourism business, and promote the improvement of Chenzhou tourism industry effectively. The team visited Rucheng Reshui Hot Spring Community, Xiaobu Nanling Ecology City, Sanhe Village, Xihe Landscape Belt, Yuhou Street, Heping Village, and some other places to check Chenzhou city's work on "leisure zone of community", "leisure vacation resort", "leisure farm", "leisure green channel", "leisure zone in central urban area", and etc.

After the investigation trip, Zhang Lingguang highly affirmed Chenzhou city's establishment of "leisure city". He said Chenzhou city played the best role of its unique advantages and resources to improve the development of tourism industry. It focused on the new tourism concept of "leisure tourism" along with its promotion of local economic development. Some tourism elements as agricultural scenery, folk culture, experiencing of farming work, natural gourmet, leisure entertainment, and others which suitable for the masses were promoted by Chenzhou city with special attention, which helped to forge some leisure communities, farms, and green channels well met national leisure city standards, as well as indicated local features and folk culture. Zhang hoped that Chenzhou can improve the supporting facilities accordingly based on current condition and attract more visitors from other places to travel there, enjoying the rich cultural treasures of Chenzhou city as well as unique leisure taste.
