The re-mobilization meeting for Chenzhou City's urban greening project （phase Ⅱ） and building a national garden city was hosted on October 26. Dai Daojin and Xiang Lili, secretary and deputy secretary of the CPC Chenzhou Municipal Committee respectively, attended the meeting and delivered keynote speeches.

Dai Daojin pointed out that in order to build a national garden city, it is required to push forward ”urban greening“ to a higher level. It is an arduous task, because 3 out of the 14 green space indices of Chenzhou fail to reach the criterions with an uneven distribution of urban green space according to the national standards. The final aim of the garden city construction is to build Chenzhou into a city that is suitable to live in, to do business in and to visit, and a city where the people are much happier.

Dai Daojin asked first to further boost urban greening, bringing the total green area and quality to a higher level. The second is to greatly increase city green quantity, attaching importance to such area as urban hilltops, roads, public space, residential quarters and the banks of rivers. And the final requirement is to make efforts in landscaping work in suburbs linking urban and rural areas, thus increasing the total greening in Chenzhou.
