An inspection group of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee led by Shen Yu supervised Chenzhou City's work concerning water conservancy from November 5 to November 8.

During the four-day inspection, the team visited Yizhang County, Yongxing County and Anren County to learn about the city's water conservancy work through on-sites investigation, conferences and reports.

It is revealed that the city has concluded an investment of 2.5 billion yuan in water conservancy this year, removing 54.7 million cubic meters of earth and stone in 45.6 million work days.

At the summary meeting on November 8, the group remarked highly of Chenzhou's implementation of the instructions and guidelines set by the CPC Central Committee and Hunan Provincial Committee. They also urged the city to speed up water conservancy programs and run pilot reform programs to promote the sound and rapid development in this area.
