Xiang Lili, mayor of Chengzhou, met with a visiting delegation headed by President of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association Doan Manh Giao on the afternoon of December 15.

Xiang extended warm welcome to the delegation, and briefed the current situation of Chenzhou City to them. He stated that China and Vietnam enjoy tremendous cooperation potential in fields like economy, trade and energy sources, and the close relationship between Chenzhou and Vietnam is continuously enhanced in recent years by the increasing amount of Chenzhou-based enterprises investing in Vietnam. Chenzhou welcomes businessmen from Vietnam to make exchange and cooperation and realize a win-win situation, Xiang added.

Doan Manh Giao remarked that the Sino-Vietnam friendship means a lot to each side and it should be strengthened via civil exchange and cooperation in areas like economy, trade and culture. He also said that the "Golden Sun" Demonstration Projects in Chenzhou provided concrete experiences for Vietnam's developing and utilizing new energy sources.
