Qu Hai, acting mayor of Chenzhou delivered a government work report on Dec.28, 2011. According to the report, Chenzhou has over-fulfilled the target set at the First Session of the Third Chenzhou Municipal People's Congress one year in advance. The total output value of 2011 is 2.5 times of that of 2006 with an average annual growth of 12.8%, marking the fastest economic growth since the city was established. These achievements bolstered people's confidence in the city's great-leap-forward economic development in a scientific way.
The city plans to expedite development and achieve prosperity mainly by undertaking the industrial transfer. The following aspects will also be focused on, i.e. intensifying infrastructure construction, enhancing competitiveness of industries, redoubling efforts to attract business and solicit investment, promoting development of industrial clusters and optimizing environment for industrial development.
