On the economic work conference of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee held on Dec. 28, Chenzhou, together with other 116 units in Hunan, was awarded the honor of advanced unit in public security management, while 4 units including Qidong County received yellow card warnings and the Hunan Provincial Highway Administration and Hunan Huasheng Group Corporation were vetoed by one vote.
   

In the assessment and evaluation of comprehensive treatment of public security among cities, prefectures, districts and counties, 6 cities containing Chenzhou and Yueyang were rated as advanced cities; 45 cities, counties, and districts including Anren County and Nanyue District were also conferred as excellent units; Hengshan County, Anren County, Quyuan Administrative District, Anxiang County and Datonghu District were titled as Safe Counties while such titles of Nanxian County and Xinning County were cancelled; and Qidong County was given a caution.
