On June 11, the part delegation of “Passionate Hunan, Meet in Taiwan” led by Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City arrived at Taibei and started its 8 days’ trip.

From June 11 to 17, the Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Hunan Governor- Xu Shousheng, along with a group of delegations from Hunan province carried out the investigation with the theme of “Passionate Hunan, Meet in Taiwan”. There have been about 600,000 fellow Hunan villagers in Taiwan currently, whose investigation would propel the communication and cooperation between Hunan and Taiwan.

The arrival of Chenzhou delegation and their efforts in promoting economic cooperation between Hunan and Taiwan were appreciated. On June 11, Human Commerce Chamber of Taiwan held the special welcome ceremony to greet Chenzhou delegation, in which the host said that the concerted efforts from both sides over all the years have achieved initial success and we are indeed closely knitted, in economy or in culture. Since there are numerous Taiwan entrepreneurs stating business here in Hunan in recent years, I hope that officials of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee will provide more support to them in the future."

The communication between Taiwan and Hunan becomes closer. Hunan Commerce Chamber of Taiwan was established in August 2010. Xiong Zijie, the director of this commerce chamber inspected Chenzhou during the seventh “Hunan-Taiwan Cooperation Conference on Economy & Trade”. In September 2011, the cooperation agreement was signed between Chenzhou Confederation of Trade Unions (headquarter) and Hunan Commerce Chamber of Taiwan to enhance the communication between the two chambers.
 

Xiong Zijie made an introduction of Chenzhou’s condition and investment environment for the Taiwan businessmen on the ceremony. He said splendid natural resources, advantageous geography location, and powerful & efficient political execution environment, all of which granted Chenzhou with the advantages for investment. Qu Hai addressed his speech on the ceremony and hailed the sound development of Taiwan business people in Hunan, saying that:“this is a trip for kinship, study, and cooperation. Now Delta Electronics Group is developing well in Chenzhou, so do Electronics, Stella International Holdings, and the recent settled Foxcoon; we believed that the Hunan-Taiwan Financial Cooperation Forum this year will further facilitate bilateral communication and coordination. We sincerely hope more Taiwan businessmen can go to Chenzhou to make investment and reach win-win cooperation.”

Chenzhou Municipal leaders such as Chen Shezhao, Liao Yuegui, Zhang Yangping, Zhang Xihui and Liu Zhiwei accompanied Qu Hai for this investigation.
