On May 16, 2012, Member of Central Committee, Deputy Director of National Afforestation Committee, and Former Director of State Forestry Bureau- Jia Zhibang led a team to investigate the urban & rural greening work of Chenzhou. The Minister of Hunan Provincial Forestry Bureau- Deng Sanlong, Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Mayor- Qu Hai, Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and General Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee- He Wenjun, and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou- Lei Xiaoda accompanied the team to undergo the inspection.

During the trip to the investigation of Xiaobu ecological park, Suxianling scenery zone, and exhibition center of Chenzhou mineral crystal, the team learned more details of Chenzhou forest construction and listened to Chenzhou municipal leaders's reports.

Jia considered it was wise for Chenzhou to take such a way like valuing the city environment ecological construction and establishing ecological brand. He said , Chenzhou City had developed a green economy , created a green environment , built a green channel , and cultivated a Greentown civilization to achieve the ultimate goal of the mutual harmonious among human, nature and city by improving the living environment, safeguarding the health of residents.

Jia also appraised Chenzhou greening work in the following three years to accelerate the construction of “Forestry Chenzhou”, and forge “Green City & Leisure City”. Jia said, Chenzhou should practice the new requirements of scientific development and ecological culture, should keep further focus on habitation ecology construction along with the ecological projects, and should improve the greening strength on every city, county and village for sustainable development.
