The Fifth Session of Eleventh CPPCC opened in Beijing
On March 3, 2012, the fifth session of eleventh CPPCC was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. In the following 10 days, all the members will operate the functions of political consultation, democratic supervision, participation and deliberation concerned about the national affairs.
Members required attending the fifth session of eleventh CPPCC amount to 2262, and the actual attendant members reached 2192,which was correspond to the quorum.
At 3:00pm, Wang Gang announced the opening ceremony of this conference.
At the meeting, it deliberated and endorsed the conference agenda at the very first step.

On behalf of the eleventh Standing Committee of CPPCC, Lin Wenyi addressed the bills performance from the fourth session of CPPCC.
Principals of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council were present at the meeting. Heads of diplomatic missions were invited to attend the session as well.
