On Feb 14th, 2012, the leading group working conference of the tourism industry development of Chenzhou city was held. Quhai—the vice secretary of municipal government and mayor of Chenzhou city—emphasized in the conference, the government should speed up the tourism industry improvement by stressing the key point, specifying characteristics, creating brand, and integrating travel resources, and etc.

It was reported from the special subject report of the situation of tourism industry development by Chenzhou travel bureau, there was great improvement for Chenzhou tourism in 2011. Travelers came to Chenzhou hit 210million, up by 23.73%, among which the foreign visitors were 210thousand with the growth rate of 21.93%. The total income of the tourism was 13billion, up by 22.38%. The 77 tourism construction projects listed in the “year of tourism construction”was accomplished with 830 million yuan investement which was accounted 103.75% of annual plan. The government successfully held the international tourism cultural festival named “city in the forest, city of relaxation”in 2011 which attracted more visitors and spread Chenzhou tourism popularity.
 

Quhai stated in the conference, Chenzhou city’s tourism industry style was turned from just focusing on tour to equal importance on tour and relaxation, so next step of the improvement of Chenzhou tourism should stress the key point, specify characteristics, creating brand, and integrate travel resources to improve it better.
