With the great effort of the staffs of Chenzhou electrical department, Chenzhou city successfully fought against the freezing weather to guarantee power supply and insured that no power failure situation happened for the Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway and residential areas even under the freezing weather in recent half month.

To guarantee the power supply , more than 1000 staffs of Chenzhou electrical department gave up the Spring Festival holiday to make sure the urgent reparations can be done immediately when urgent situation occurred. 

From the Chinese rural new year eve to the seventh day of the first rural month, in order to make sure the steady performance of the electricity net, Chenzhou electrical department staffs tried to melt ice for 23 times, among which 13 times were finished on the rush day. On Jan 24th, the second day of first rural month, after receiving the report that 20-50mm ice was covered on the 220KV line surface of Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway (the part from Chenzhou to Yizhang ), Chenzhou electrical department staffs were dispatched immediately to melt the ice. With more than 10 hours hardworking, all the ice was melted that assured Wuhan-Guangzhou High-speed Railway can performance steadily.
