“Now I’m more confident to handle the rural basic work with that training.” It was said by a female village official Hao Min who is one of the new officials of Beihu district and has just finished the training course arranged by Beihu district.

China has started to select colleague graduates to take office as village officials from 2008. Beihu district government innovated more mechanisms for the official trainings like concentrated training for the rural condition, supporting mechanism, reporting mechanism, etc.. Till now, 45 college graduates village officials have been working for Beihu district. 15 of them were admitted into civil servants of Hunan or other provinces, and 2 of them were arranged as some local leaders.
