On October 11, 2012 is the petition reception date for Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee.

Xiang arrived at the reception center early in this morning, and patiently listened to all the arrivals.

Each person got their different problems. One man suspected the public service integrity of civil servants in his wife’s injured case for it was dragged for over one year but it has still not been solved. After learning the details and consulted the lawyer’s suggestion, Xiang Lili promised to give the final answer to him within one week.

Representatives of the retired workers from Chenzhou Construction Group reported to Xiang Lili the issue that 6 poverty- stricken elders among 39 retired workers did not get the subsides for lacking of personnel files. Xiang asked the principal of Chenzhou SASAC to tell the details concerning this issue and required that those subsides should be discharged accordingly at their soonest time.

Xiang’s reception work lasted nearly three hours. Some issues were solved on the spot, while others need to be settled with the time limitation.

Xiang Lili highly affirmed the work of petition department and pointed out that the department should pay more attention to the problems reported by people. Petition is one of the most important aspects for the social stability. All levels of governments should focus on the development together with the social stability. There is no tiny thing for petition issues. Every case should be treated and solved quickly by relative regulations and laws, which is significant to the 18th Party Congress.
