Wang Gang- Director of Associated Work Committee of Hunan Provincial Party Committee led a research group to investigate the general election work of county and town People’s Congress in Chenzhou city.

The county and town election of representative of People’s Congress has been fulfilled on October 31, 2012, and the first session of new elected People’s Congress was held in most of the counties and towns of Chenzhou city. The first session in all counties was planned to be finished before December 20, 2012. Now, it is the investigate stage for candidates of 12th Hunan Provincial NPC representatives. 7 investigation groups were set by Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Chenzhou United Front Work Ministry to undertake this investigation work.

Wang Gang and his group investigated Beihu district on site, and listened to the reports on the work of Chenzhou Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee. Wang highly affirmed Chenzhou’s work on the general election. He remarked it was the key thing for People’s Congress at all levels to carry out the general election work and representative work under current situation. Both the work should be paid equal attention to. Concerning the nomination work for Hunan Provincial People’s Congress, strict checking should be taken for the construction and quality to ensure all the representatives meet relative standards well. On the process of investigating representatives, people concerned should be serious, objective, and disciplined.

The work of general election of county and township people's congresses should be continued to strengthen the guidance and ensure the successful completion of the election of County and township-level people's Congress work.
