The annual commending ceremony for Chenzhou trans-century environmental protection was held by the organizing committee to praise those excellent units and journalism works in the year of 2011 and 2012.

From 2011, special investigation and propaganda report activities concerning city noise, vehicle exhaust, river pollution and other environmental issues were organized by the office of Chenzhou trans-century environmental protection, which effectively promoted Chenzhou city’s energy saving and integration treatment work in urban and rural areas, enhanced the legal concept of environment on leaders and cadres, and raised the environmental protection awareness of people. During that period, reporters from Chenzhou Daily, Chenzhou TV, Chenzhou Radio and other media were sent in order to track the whole process of the activity. With their excellent work, over 500 manuscripts (200 of them were critical reports) were broadcasted (published) publicly, which played an essential supervision role of media.
In the annual commending ceremony, “environmental protection complex of a farmer in Dongjian lake” edited by Xiong Jianping and Ye Longbin of Chenzhou Daily and

“the evolution of a tailing” edited by Chen Huaying of Chenzhou Daily won the first prize. 28 units such as the organization committee of Guiyang trans-century environmental protection, Chenzhou Propaganda Ministry, Chenzhou Daily, Chenzhou TV, ect. won excellent organization awards.
