Xiang Lili handles official work on comprehensive retreatment of Chenjiang River on the spot

About the project

The comprehensive retreatment project of Chenjiang River was about 20kms with three sections, which was mainly for the main pipe pavement of Sewage Treatment Plant, construction of flood control dams, construction of paths and scenery belts along the river, etc.. The project was launched in March of 2012 with about 1.39 billion yuan approximate total investment.

Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee arrived at the construction spot of Chenjiang river comprehensive retreatment project, where staffs were busy on their tasks in this cold season.

Xiang Lili led a team together with principals of some departments and Suxian & Beihu district to handle the official tasks on the spot of Chenjiang river retreatment project. Xiang said: “Chenjiang River is the mother river of Chenzhou people, so its retreatment project is concerned by all the Chenzhou people; according to the working report of the 18th National Congress of CPC, ecological civilization construction should be further enhanced, and the retreatment project of Chenjiang River is actually one of the landmark projects meeting this demand well.”

Xiang paid special attention to the progress of this project and took investigation on this project for many times at the very beginning. Last April, Xiang looked into Chenjiang River on foot and presented a preliminary solution. After the project was launched in this March, he visited there for many times. This August, in the company of Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou city, Xiang helped to solve problems concerning this project on site.

Different from the first time when Xiang arrived at the spot of this project, Chenjiang River was full of green trees instead of loess, and the river dredging work was under schedule. Chenjiang River was processing on the transformation.

Xiang walked along Chenjiang River and presented some rectification suggestions on the way once he found problems there. In order to handle the details without any delaying, Xiang confirmed to carry out the official work on the construction spot after he figured out the general condition of it.

Xiang said, the relocation issue should be further accelerated in Suxian and Beihu district; the planning should be strengthened along the river to make every section turned its unique feature; the greening and decoration work should be intensified with highlights, etc..

Xiang also stressed that the management of Chenjiang River wanted enhancing to avoid the situation that with beautiful sceneries along the river, the water of Chenjiang River is still awful. Both Suxian and Beihu district have to work out the retreatment solution of water resource. Mining enterprises should be shut down in the upper and middle stream of Chenjiang river. The pollution discharge should be handled out well to ensure the water of Chenjiang river to be clear. All the departments should work together to improve Chenjiang river to be the most beautiful river of Chenzhou city and show a beautiful image to people.
