According to the plan figured out by working conference of Hunan housing and urban-rural construction, 333,000 units of security houses will be started to build in 2013, 222,000 units of which will be finished basically. Meanwhile 5850 families will be issued with low-rent housing rental subsidies.

In recent years, the security housing construction project was promoted well in Hunan province which enabled Hunan province to be ranked the top place of China on the total amount of security houses for five consecutive years. Concerned for 2009 to 2012, 81,800 units, 262,700 units, 447,200 units, and 412,700 units houses were completed in Hunan province. 96.775 billion yuan has been invested on the construction of security housing project in recent five years, which helped to complete 898,600 units and establish a more prefect housing system to solve the housing problems faced by people. Concerned for rural dilapidated housing rehabilitation project started in 2009 for example, till now, 23 billion yuan has been placed on the project which solved 458,700 families housing problem.

As arranged by the working conference, 50 billion yuan should be fulfilled on the security housing project and rural dilapidated housing rehabilitation project. All the municipal governments should follow the provincial plan well to figure out their local targets and plans accordingly. At the mean time, the project quality control should be handled well to ensure that people can live safely and comfortably in the security houses.
