Training session for nutrition improvement program of rural compulsory education students was held in Guidong county, Chenzhou city on March 16, 2013. A special training course concerned for the implementation of the program was taken by bidding enterprises and responsible cadres of Guidong Education Bureau to the principals of schools and responsible staff in charge of the program.

It was reported that 13681 students of 82 rural schools were benefited from the nutrition improvement program carried out in Guidong county in 2012. More than 7 million yuan special funs was issued to this program which greatly improved students health. Because of the good result, Guidong county’s experience in handling the nutrition improvement program was spread in Hunan province.

It was emphasized in the session that further food management should be enhanced in the schools to guarantee students health. At the meantime, all the bidding enterprises should be followed the strict production rules to provide the safe food to students. Furthermore, more strict inspection should be organized by Guidong County Education Bureau to make sure the fluent implementation of the program.
