It was helped to ensure Chenzhou city’s nine year consecutive increasing of grain cultivation
Early on March 27, 2013, Cheng Jiazhi who was one of key families of grain cultivation in Zhangshi village, Guiyang county was busy in doing farming. As he mentioned, now it was an important time for raising rice seedlings.
There were 500mu rice and tea-oil tree planted by Cheng Jiazhi which were worth about 200,000 yuan income every year. In 2012, Cheng opened a rice seedling factory with another villager. Now more than 8000 bunches of rice seeding have been raised in the factory which were enough for 500mu lands.
At the meantime, thousands villagers were working on lands with the farming machine in Xintang village, Suxian district.
Those were just two images in the farming season of Chenzhou city. It was learned that till now 5.45 million mu grain lands have been implemented in Chenzhou city, which was about 0.23 million mu more compared with 2012. 1.60 million mu early season rice, 0.66 million mu middle season rice, 1.85 million mu late season rice and 0.93 million mu grain were arranged to plant in 2013, which were with different growth rate. With such kind of planting situation, nine consecutive year increasing of grain cultivation can be ensured in Chenzhou city.
Concerned for the irrigation and water conservancy construction, 3.378 billion yuan have been placed on it. Meanwhile, agriculture comprehensive development, tobacco industry, land consolidation, and other projects were handled well.
Furthermore, in order to make sure the sufficient marketing supply of agricultural materials, more than ten thousands of different kinds of fertilizer and seeds were reserved previously.
It was introduced by an official of Chenzhou Rural Ministry that because of lacking sunshine, long term rainy season and freezing rain and snow, some of the winter crops would be affected, especially for the rape production. Concerning for this situation, the agricultural departments of Chenzhou city carried out the Spring cultivation work service accordingly to the practical condition and demand of farmers. The department staffs worked together with farmers to try to fulfill all the targets set for 2013.
