The Chief Engineer of the State Environmental Protection Department- Wan Bentai led a team to investigate the environment monitoring and ecological environment construction work handled by Chenzhou city.

Wan highly affirmed the environmental protection achievements gained by Chenzhou city after visiting Suxianling, Dongjiang lake, Heping village of Suxian district, Chenzhou Environmental Protection Bureau, etc. and listening to the working reports delivered by relative departments. When visiting Chenzhou Environment Monitoring Station, Wan learned the detailed information of Chenzhou air quality in last days and stated that Chenzhou city should enhance the environment monitoring talents construction work and strengthen the ordinary monitoring and emergency monitoring work as well.

Focusing on the key environmental protection work, Chenzhou city reached fruitful results on it, such as Baoshan and Shizuyuan were approved as national mining park with green mine construction project, Zixing resource-exhausted city- 2012 key project of mine geological environment governance and Chenzhou Suxian district- metal mining area and mine geological environment governance demonstration project were successfully submitted, more progresses were gained on transformation of environmental protection service, etc..

Some Hunan provincial leaders of Hunan Environmental Protection Ministry and Chenzhou municipal leaders accompanied Wan with this investigation.
