1500 Tons Emergency Processed Grain to be Reserved in Chenzhou City

2013-05-31

It was enough for 10 days grain supply of central urban area under emergent condition

It was introduced from the staff of Chenzhou Finance Bureau that in order to strengthen the food control capacity to ensure the grain safety, 1500 tons more processed grain were reserved in Chenzhou city in addition of 10000 tons of grain. It was the first time for Chenzhou city to reserve this processed grain. In the following process, the mechanism of reservation of processed grain would be established gradually in the counties.

Currently, Chenzhou municipal level reservation work of processed grain was handled well by State Grain Reserve Depot of Chenzhou. In order to ensure the fulfillment of this reservation task, 0.9 million yuan special funds were arranged by Chenzhou Finance Bureau to subsidy the loan profit and management fees caused for the reservation units. Next year, this part of subsidies would be covered in the financial budget and appropriated accordingly to make sure the processed grain supply under emergent condition.

Compared with the grain reserves, the processed grain would be better to meet the emergent situations because it can be used directly without further processing steps. In order to make sure all the processed grains can be kept in fresh condition, a dynamic alternation system would be carried out for the reservation. Every three months, all the reserved grain should be alternated at least one time. All the alternations from the depot should be double checked to guarantee their good quality before they were accessed to the market again.
