According to ancient Chinese poem, Chenzhou city is a beautiful city with gorgeous landscapes from the ancient time. Currently, Chenzhou city is working hard on the establishment of national garden city to highlight the mountain and water features of the city from the ancient times. As planned, “ten hills and ten lakes”would be forged in Chenzhou city to show the unique image of this blessing city.

On one hand, different mountainous parks were established in the hills of the urban area on the basis of Chenzhou city’s mountainous landform. Every park is with its special characteristic, such as osmanthus planted in Wuling Park, azalea in Martyr Memorial park, sakura in Suxianling and Nantaling, etc. People can enjoy different views in each park. On the other hand, the landscapes along river banks were upgraded accordingly to match the parks.

Zhangshuling where is in the interchange of Qingnian avenue and Guoqing road south was used to be a barren mountain, lacking of greening coverage. A new Zhangshuling park project was launched in 2011 to improve the environment condition of this area by planting many trees, greening belt, flowers, etc. Now, two years past, with the hardworking and protection of the staffs of the park, all the planted trees are growing up well to provide a beautiful leisure place to people. Many citizen sincerely appreciated the establishment of national garden city work handled in Chenzhou city for it greatly helped to upgrade their living condition.

Muziling was used to be with the same situation as Zhangshuling though it was with abundant greening resources. Along with the Muziling ecological park project construction, it was upgraded as leisure park with gorgeous natural resources and landscapes.

Shiliuwan ecological park is another typical model for the improvement of living condition by handling out the establishment work of national garden city in Chenzhou city. Flowers, fresh air, green trees, sun rise, sun set, etc. are available there, which enable people to enjoy their leisure life well.

All the parks mentioned above are just a part of the achievements reached by Chenzhou city on the process of establishment of national garden city. Citizens are expecting to see even better living condition of their city in near future.
