It was learned from 2013 working conference for agricultural production in autumn and winter held by Zhoumensi town, Zixing city on September 27, 2013 that 30,000mu planting areas have been figured out to plant winter oilseed rape, green manure, oil tea, Dongjiang pear, etc.

In order to fulfill all the working tasks set for rural work and lay the foundation for the increase of next year, all the departments of Zhoumensi town followed the unified idea and specified solutions to handle out 2013 agricultural production work in autumn and winter. A special leadership team was formed to arrange detailed work as planting, disease control, afforestation, water conservancy, etc. on the basis of “implementation solution of Zhoumensi town’s 2013 agricultural production work in autumn and winter”. On the other hand, propaganda, technology guidance and training, investment, agricultural materials’ supply, disaster prevention, and other work were handled out well in the town. All the measures greatly helped to guarantee the fulfillment of all the tasks. According to the arrangement, winter oilseed rape, green manure, vegetable, potato and winter grape, afforestation, tea garden, and Dongjiang pear should be finished 3000mu, 19,000mu, 5000mu, 2500mu, 3600mu, 500mu and 500mu respectively. At the meantime, two concentrated water supply projects of Penggongmiao and Yanping should be completed to solve the drinking water problem of more than 5000 people.

The unique idea for the town was to improve the agricultural production with the tourism concept. Yellow rape flower, white pear flower, and purple grass seed flower would present a unique visual feast to all visitors next year.
