It was learned that an experts group of assessment for urban civilization index would come to Chenzhou city to carry out the assessment work in the late of this October. A training and promotion conference for assessment work on establishment of Hunan provincial civilized city was held on Oct. 15, 2013 to make sure that Chenzhou city would be qualified to apply to establish the national civilized city. Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended the conference.

It was introduced that following contents were covered in the assessment work of Hunan provincial civilized city: quality of citizens, environment condition, traffic order, urban management order, security condition, market order, construction order, public places condition, cultural environment, etc. Different ways as investigation on site, household survey, random inspection and others would be carried out to take the assessment work. On this point, every citizen’s behavior would be a key point for determining whether the establishment can be achieved successfully.

Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee required that all the departments should pay high attention on the promotion of the preparation work on assessment issues and should make sure that Chenzhou city can be ranked the first place among other cities to guarantee Chenzhou city’s qualification to apply as national civilized city next year. Specified work should be carried out by relative departments to improve the civilized city condition and meet the assessment demand well.
