Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City investigated Dongjiang lake landscape to check its progress on establishment of national 5A landscape on October 22, 2013. It was required to make sure Dongjiang lake to be established as national 5A landscape successfully by Qu.

Dongjiang lake landscape was listed as one of the candidates for application of national 5A landscape title on October 15, 2013, and was approved successfully. Currently, some projects as stops in the entrance of Dongjiang lake Sanxiangsishui tourist street, decoration project for west bank of small Dongjiang river, management of geological disaster along small Dongjiang river, bicycle channels of small Dongjiang river, etc. were almost finished. Some other upgrading projects were under construction. At the meantime, 3D travel lines and LED movie, television system, etc. were paid much attention to accelerate the production. Great efforts were tried to ensure the establishment work to be handled well.

Qu led his investigation team with the principal of Zixing city to check the upgrading construction site of Dongjiang lake landscape. On arrival of the site, Qu was impressed with the quieter and more beautiful environment recovered by the upgrading treatment. Qu said, to develop tourism industry would be helpful to promote the transformation of life-style of people. Along with the ecological removal measures, Dongjiang lake landscape was improved with much better ecological environment condition.

Qu highly affirmed the achievements reached by Dongjiang lake landscape on handling the establishment issues of national 5A landscape and national ecological tourism demonstration zone. He stated that the tourism industry should be accelerated its development by seizing more chances, for it well met the macro policy of adjustment of economical structure and development of service industry. There were some advantages on tourism resources, transportation facilities and location available in Chenzhou city, which would be helpful for the overall development of urban and rural areas of Chenzhou city and for the acceleration of international modernization.

Qu required that more efforts should be tried on the establishment issues to make sure it would be approved as national 5A landscape successfully. All work should be followed the time schedule well to make sure all targets to be fulfilled on time. At the meantime, better service should be provided by relative departments. Enhanced tourism market management and talent construction should be carried out as well to make sure the landscape to be upgraded as top level tourism brand.
