It was learned from summary meeting of 2013 “loving study-aid” activity that 1546 poor students were issued with 2.50 million yuan to continue their study.

“Loving study-aid” activity is one of the most influential public welfare activities in Chenzhou city, which collects funds from loving units and people by handling different actions. It was introduced that more than ten thousands students were benefited from this public activity in recent 10 years. Chenzhou Education Foundation, Chenzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Chenzhou Daily, and Chenzhou Municipal Federation of Trade Union hosted the “loving study-aid” activity in 2013. Donation, “Personal special study-aid funds”, combined study-aid actions, counterpart funding and other forms of activities were carried out in 2013 to collect funds. Till now, about 4 million yuan donations have been collected from 33 units and 4364 loving people, 1 million yuan of which was not local donation.

It was introduced that 1546 students of university, middle school and primary school were subsidized with about 2.50 million yuan in 2013. 420 freshmen of universities, 100 students of universities, 579 students of senior middle school and 447 students of compulsory education stage were issued with different amount of funds accordingly.
