“It was used to be chaos along Chenjiang river with dirty building surface and littery air conditioners, etc. But now it is every nice for the streetscape of Chenjiang road after the retreatment on coating of building surface and unified air conditioner installation.” gladly said by Ms Ni who lives in Chenjiang road for many years.

Reporters visited Chenjiang road recently and were impressed with the tidy streetscape which was Chenzhou charm.

In order to improve Chenzhou city’s image with elegant and livable living condition, Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government launched the streetscape retreatment project which was planned to be carried out the streetscape retreatment work for 38 main roads of Chenzhou city from 2012 to 2014. In accordance with the principle of territorial management, the retreatment work for 38 main roads was handled by Beihu district government, Suxian district government and management committee of Chenzhou Export Processing Zone. Followed with relative policies, the retreatment cost was 100% charged by property rights owners or shared by both Chenzhou municipal finance and the district government.

When reporters arrived at Suxian road, Yanquan road, Guoqing road and some other main roads, workers were busy in handling the retreatment work with the specified requirements and standards.

According to the time schedule, 8 key roads retreatment work should be fulfilled by Beihu district and Suxian district. Till now, 5.624 million yuan has been placed on Guoqing road and Yanquan road. 14 buildings of Suxian south road and Suxian north road have been finished. All work was followed the planning and its design well to facilitate different roads with its unique features. It was purposely to form a fine project that one road is with one specified characteristic.
